History
Mehmet Cavid Baysun Türk ordinaryüs tarihçi. İstanbul Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi mezunu, yine aynı üniversitede tarih hocalığı yapmış, İstanbul Erkek ve Galatasaray Lisesi eğitim kurumlarında da öğretmenlik yapmıştır. Türk Tarih Kurumu asil üyeliğinde bulunan Cavit Baysun, 1960 yılında ordinaryüs profesör olmuştur. Tarihçi Salih Özbaran'ın hocasıdır.
